Formaldehyde poisoning: indoor disease decorated

Most of the susceptible people with symptoms of formaldehyde poisoning are newly renovated homes. People who move to a new home tend to feel dry and irritated in the nose for a while before moving into a new home, and occasionally there is a small amount of clearing. Many times to the hospital for diagnosis, the general doctor will treat the cold, that is, take cold medicine and antibiotics, but the delay will not receive obvious results. Finally, the staff of the indoor environmental testing center found that the “root of disease” was on the air of the new home, and the formaldehyde content in the newly renovated indoor air exceeded the standard.

Formaldehyde is a highly toxic gas. Ranked second in the list of domestic poisonous bodies. The Anxin poison floor incident a few months ago is still fresh in the hearts of many people. Most of the formaldehyde in the room comes from artificial boards, paints, paints and other materials. The content varies. As a carcinogenic and deformed toxic object, what kind of poisoning symptoms will occur once invaded into the human body? This article will detail the symptoms of formaldehyde poisoning, and provide some methods to eliminate the symptoms of formaldehyde poisoning and some effective measures to prevent formaldehyde poisoning in new houses.

The symptoms of formaldehyde poisoning in human body are mainly manifested in three types:

1. Symptoms of deep poisoning: pulmonary water in the lungs of human organs, fourth-degree laryngeal edema in the throat, and severe hypoxemia in the blood.

2. Moderate poisoning symptoms: patients with chest tightness, frequent cough, sputum. Difficulty breathing, and even the feeling of dry and wet breaks, the lung texture is substantially normalized through the X-ray through the chest, and changes appear to be leaf-like shadows or some scattered point-like small black spots. Mild and moderate hypoxemia symptoms may occur during blood analysis. Throat edema is increased to three levels.

3. Mild poisoning symptoms: When the patient has mild poisoning, the specific manifestations are conjunctival congestion, hoarse speech, difficulty breathing, and the breathing sound is louder than usual. Another specific manifestation of mild formaldehyde poisoning is one to two degrees of sore throat edema. The eyes will notice a irritating symptom. By taking X-rays, you will find that the texture of the lungs begins to become thicker and thicker, which is a typical symptom of acute bronchitis in medical performance.

The symptoms of poisoning are not determined by the concentration of formaldehyde. Different concentrations of formaldehyde in the air can cause different symptoms.

1. When the formaldehyde in the air per cubic meter reaches 30mg/m3, it will be directly poisoned and killed.

2. When the formaldehyde in the air per cubic meter reaches 0.6mg/m3, the human body will have obvious discomfort in sore throat. When the concentration is higher than this value, the symptoms will be more obvious, manifested as chest tightness, nausea, cough, vomiting. In severe cases, there are problems such as asthma and pulmonary edema.

3. When the formaldehyde in the air per cubic meter reaches 0.5mg/m3, the eyes are obviously irritating and tearing symptoms may occur.

4. When the formaldehyde in the air per cubic meter reaches 0.1mg/m3, the air has a distinct odor, and there will be obvious discomfort when entering.

5. When the formaldehyde in each cubic meter of air reaches 0.06-0.07 mg/m3, children will experience mild asthma.

What about formaldehyde poisoning?

1. For those who are mildly poisoned, it is recommended to leave the environment containing formaldehyde and replace the contaminated clothing. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water in time. Wash with soapy water or 2% sodium bicarbonate solution. If you accidentally get into the eyes, rinse with plenty of water.

2. For moderately poisoned people, let them inhale 0.1% of ammonia water. In order to quickly remove throat edema and lung water caused by poisoning, it is recommended to use a sufficient amount of glucocorticoids in the short-term treatment.

3. If you accidentally come into contact with the amount of formaldehyde in a short period of time and find a respiratory irritant response. Both need to be observed for 2 days. Avoid activities that cause the condition to worsen.

4. Through reasonable oxygen therapy, keep the airway open to the bronchial spasm, defoamer, and if necessary, tracheotomy.

5. Symptomatic treatment, prevention of infection, prevention and treatment of complications.

Summary: Patients with formaldehyde poisoning should pay attention to rest, eat more fruits and vegetables, and avoid excessive exercise during treatment.
