Terabee Releases New Low-Cost Ranging Sensor Products [Full Text]
According to Mai Musi dynamic technology consulting reports, the French sensor and sensing solutions provider, today announced its Terabee lightweight, small size, low cost distance measuring sensor product line to add a new product --TeraRanger Evo.
The new TeraRanger Eve starts with a weight of only 9 g (12 g for the communication board), but the maximum measuring distance is 60 m, making it ideal for drone applications. And, TeraRanger Evo uses LED time-of-flight (ToF) technology instead of laser technology, which makes it safer.
Product usability has always been an important feature of the TeraRanger series of sensors, and TeraRanger Evo is no exception. TeraRanger Evo requires no calibration, compensation, or data translation. Plug and Play continuously outputs distance detection information in digital format. For further convenience, TeraRanger Evo uses two split architectures, one for the black optical sensor module and the other for the yellow power and communication backplane. The two split architectures can be easily plugged together. TeraRanger Evo offers backplane options for two different interfaces (UART/I2C or USB) and can also be customized to customer requirements.
