Dosing pump troubleshooting and how to better maintain it
How to replace the metering pump diaphragm? 1. Remove the 4 screws securing the pump head. The screw is located on the back of the metering pump. 2. After the pump head is loosened, adjust the stroke length to 0% before removing the pump head. You can ensure that the solenoid shaft has enough pressure to keep it firmly connected, so that you can unscrew the diaphragm. Pull the hydraulic end out to remove the screw from the socket. Hold the liquid side counterclockwise. Slightly more resistance, you can spin the diaphragm. 4. Once the diaphragm is removed, check the dosing pump safety diaphragm to ensure that it is intact and without any damage. Install a new diaphragm and turn the backplate and diaphragm clockwise until tight. Adjust the backplane so that the drain drain hole is located at the bottom of the pump. 5. Install the pump head after the septum is installed and the back leak drain hole is in the upright position. Make sure that the suction valve is aligned with the leak drain hole and the hydraulic end screw is aligned with the corresponding 4 holes. 6. Turn to stroke length 100%. This will rotate the entire assembly to the backplane drain vent and align with the bottom of the pump. Adjust hydraulic end and diaphragm to proper position during pump operation. 7. When the hydraulic end with the backplane position is adjusted, the four bolts diagonally tightened until it is appropriate. Apply uniform force to accomplish this task. Move fluid end by loosening 4 pump head screws. Rotate the stroke length to 0% and grasp the hydraulic end, then slide out of the screw hole, then the screw does not come into contact with them, but also hold the back plate and the diaphragm. Then rotate this part anticlockwise, with a slight resistance, and the diaphragm will loosen from the solenoid shaft. If the diaphragm has not loosened, use some lubricant on the contact surfaces of the diaphragm and the electromagnet. After a few minutes, gently tap the diaphragm with a plastic hammer. Then proceed again as described above. When self-priming is used to measure hydrogen peroxide, cavitation occurs in the system. how to solve this problem? Dosing pump is installed from the exhaust pump head, using self-filling liquid suction. Keep the pipette as short as possible. Metering pump installed, after running does not measure the liquid? 1. Is the drain pipe installed and the drain valve closed? The drain valve needs to be opened during the dosing phase of the metering pump. Note: Not all dosing pumps have drain valves. 2. There may be a gas leak at the suction side of the metering pump. Fluid side suction side connections may lack o-rings or suction valve connections loose. 3. Metering pump at the end of the valve may be blocked, the measurement of liquid can not pass. 4. The metering pump stroke length setting is not suitable. 5. The metered chemical may crystallize on the hydraulic side, causing the check valve ball and seat to not work properly. I am using flow monitoring to meter a high viscosity medium and receive a flow fault indication during the priming process. What to do to solve this problem? The duration of the pulse may not be long enough for the reaction time. With respect to the standard pulse width of 80 msec, the flow monitor pulse width extension can be activated, increasing the pulse width to 300 msec. Activate the smart change-over switch, remove the cover of the fixed circuit board and remove jumper X-1. This activates the extended function, allowing more time before the fault indication. How to Prevent Stroke Positioning Motor Burned? Make sure that the metering pump motor is always running when adjusting the stroke position. If the dosing pump motor is not running, the stroke length adjustment lever will resist the tension of the compression spring, which will cause premature damage to the stroke positioning motor.
