The best time for sow immunization

The gilts are best immunized within 1 to 3 months before estrus breeding. Do not immunize near estrus because the vaccine response may affect estrus, such as delaying estrus.

Do not do any immunization during the entire pregnancy, because it is often unclear whether the vaccine has a fetal effect. If you have a vaccine that you have to do, it is best to test a few first, no adverse reactions and then a large group of applications.

The sow is breastfeeding for about 20 days, and the breastfeeding peak has passed. This is a good time for the immunization vaccine. If you miss this time, you can immunize after weaning.

The vaccines for sows are based on local conditions and are generally immune to parvovirus vaccines.
