Taishan aluminum foil deep processing project into the implementation phase

After passing all approval procedures, Shandong Taishan Aluminum Co., Ltd. recently held a domestic bidding and tendering meeting for main production equipment for aluminum sheet and foil deep-processing projects, which is about to enter the construction and implementation stage. Shandong Taishan Aluminum Company is a subsidiary of Shandong Feicheng Mining Group. It has one existing aluminum electrolysis plant and has 200 kA pre-plots with 108 units. The designed primary aluminum production capacity is 70kt/a. In 2006, the output of primary aluminum was 31052t.

In order to achieve greater economic benefits, while stabilizing the production of primary aluminum, the company formulated a development idea of ​​“extension of both ends, development in the middle, and making it bigger and stronger” and decided to build a 50,000-ton aluminum sheet deep processing project. The project consists of 1 1850mm cold rolling mill and 1850mm aluminum foil roughing mill. Except automatic control equipment, all electromechanical equipments are made in China. Among them, the 4-high irreversible cold rolling mill was designed and manufactured by Shanghai Tianzhong Heavy Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd., and the aluminum foil rough rolling mill was provided by Yu Shen Non-Ferrous Metal Special Equipment Co., Ltd. According to plan, the project should be put into production by the end of 2008.
