Symptoms and prevention of zinc deficiency in corn

Corn is one of the more sensitive crops to zinc. The symptoms of zinc deficiency are hindered by the growth of seedlings and lack of chlorophyll. Light yellow or white streaks appear between the leaves of the leaves, commonly known as "flower white seedlings" and "flower leaf stripe disease". The diseased plants are shortened at the internodes, the plants are short, the stems are weak, the males are spurred, the silk is delayed, and the ear is poorly developed, forming a “dilute” corn cob with a lack of grain. The most effective way to prevent and cure zinc deficiency is to supplement the zinc with zinc. Generally, 1 to 1.5 kg of zinc sulfate is used per mu, and it is applied to the soil as a base fertilizer before sowing, or 0.1% to 0.2% in the seedling stage and jointing stage respectively. The zinc sulphate solution is sprayed 50 kg per acre, and the fertilizer solution is not allowed to flow into the heart.
