Knowledge and terminology related to tiles

Tile definition

Porcelain refers to a thin layer patch with a subsurface on the wall surface. It is a kind of interior wall brick with a smooth surface and belongs to the whole body brick.

(Execution specification: GB/T4100.5-1999 belongs to ceramic brick, water absorption rate ≥10%)

Firing process

Using two cauterizations

1. One-time burning: Simply put, the powder is pressed and molded, dried and printed, and fired at a high temperature (1080-1130 °C).

2. Secondary burning: The powder is pressed and formed by high temperature (1100 - 1160 °C) and then glazed on the green body, and finally fired at a high temperature. The two firings are fired at a time, so that the fired ceramic tiles will be natural, the product quality is good, and the production is less difficult.

3, antibacterial tiles: is the addition of antibacterial agents into the ceramic glaze, after glazing and firing, distributed in the ceramic glaze layer, long-term existence has a good long-lasting antibacterial.

4, printing process: the current printing method of interior wall tiles, usually using screen printing and roller printing. Roller printing uses laser engraving and plate making technology. Compared with the screen printing, the color is more natural, real and delicate, and the color is more abundant. The internal and external quality of the product has made great progress. Roller printing belongs to the more advanced printing technology, and its technical content is high.

5. Water absorption rate refers to the percentage of moisture absorbed by pores in ceramic products.

6, monochrome paving: The entire wall of the tile is a color pattern.

7, upper and lower color paving stickers: refers to the use of upper and lower divergent bricks to paste the unified wall surface, ordinary light-colored bricks for coloring, attached to the waist line bricks, dark bricks for the lower color, attached to the waist line brick.

8. Ground wall climbing: Small floor tiles matched with porcelain tiles are generally matt and have anti-slip effect.

9. The easiest way to identify the roller and the screen: the texture of each brick of the roller printing is not exactly the same, but the direction is the same; the texture of each brick of the screen printing is exactly the same.

10. Bottom glaze: A layer of glaze applied to a glazed brick.
