Similar to the quick selection function, the graphic search positioning function also uses object characteristics or object types to include objects in the selection set or exclude objects, mainly adding logic operations and filter storage functions, making selection objects more convenient.

In Zhongwang CAD, the logical operations used to form filter expressions for graphical search positioning include four types: AND, OR, XOR, and NOT. Logical operations start with "<" and end with ">". Note that the operands they act on are different:

The following figure is a dialog box for the graphic search and positioning function. It can be opened by "Edit" - "Find" in the menu bar, or by entering "FILTER" at the command line. There are two tabs in it, the "Text Search" section is the same as the previous version, and will not be explained here.

In the "Element Search", a tree-like structure is displayed on the left side, representing the logical relationship of the search. It supports the logical nesting, so the function is very powerful, and it also increases the requirements for the user, for complex logical relationships. The idea must be very clear, and good results can be achieved in practical use. The logical relationship in the tree structure can be increased or decreased, and can be changed arbitrarily, generally by clicking the mouse back button. The properties in the logical relationship are done using the filter bar, which is almost the same as the quick selection. The management of features is achieved through the following three buttons - adding features, modifying features, and removing features. If you have a good search relationship, you can use it later, so you don't have to create a filter every time. The definition of the search scope and the result processing are the same as the quick selection and there is no change.

The bottom part of the dialog box is the display of the search results. Pressing the "Find" button will perform the filtering function and the searched information will be displayed. When the search result exceeds eight, you can perform page up and down operations. Select one or more objects and use the Position feature to maximize the display of the specified object in the drawing. The last two "all changed" and "select all" buttons are only used for text search.

The practical method of positioning the graphic search is basically introduced above. Now let's look at an example to deepen the understanding of the logic algorithm. There are four circles in the graph below, three radii of 5 and the other one is 10, and the color of the circle is also different, which is already marked in the figure. Let's make the selection in the filter above to filter these graphics.

First of all, we should filter out according to the innermost nesting step by step. Starting from AND, the circle with color 5 and radius less than or equal to 20 can be the circle of the 3rd and 4th circles; then the XOR logic operation is performed with a radius of 5 The circle can be determined to be 1, 2, and 3, then XOR operation is performed with No. 3 and No. 4. Since No. 3 is an overlapping term, the last selected circle is 1, 2, and 4.

In practical use, the attributes of the object are various, so there are many ways to choose. Try to use nested logical operation as a filter as much as possible. It is a good choice to use AND to gradually narrow down the selection range.
